Apple’s Ultra-thin MacBook
Apple just came up with its ultra-thin MacBook. This air-style laptop is the first MacBook which has 12-inch retina display which makes the screen look absolutely amazing with over 3.3 million pixels. This new MacBook is extremely light weight. It is 24% less thin than 11 inch MacBook air. Its weight is 2 pound with 13.1 mm of thickness. But the lightness sometimes makes the notebook hard to steady on your lap. It has a tendency to bounce around as you type, without any noticeable center of gravity. It’s also first MacBook without a fan instead of fan it uses Intel's new low-power Core M processor, which allows for longer battery life and a thinner design than past generations of similar Intel chips.
It is available in three colors Silver, Grey and Gold. The device price starts at $1,299 and it has started shipping from 10th of April. The trackpad has been upgraded to include touch response for the first time, using Apple's Force Touch technology, which can sense a range of pressure from a light click to a deeper press. Its battery lasts for about 8 hours which is not bad for a small package carrying a bright, dense screen. Still MacBook isn’t for everyone. With its beautiful retina display but its hogs processing power that might be better used elsewhere. And if you do a lot of photo editing or like to multitask, you’ll notice some lag and jitters. Even scrolling quickly through typical Web pages produced a noticeable lag and stutter compared with my standard MacBook Air. But no doubt it has an amazing finishing which makes it look more elegant and beautiful.
