Microsoft is developing drones for catching mosquitoes
The researchers at Microsoft are now developing autonomous drones that collect mosquitoes and prevent harmful viruses from spreading. This has been done to prevent outbreak of various diseases in humans. The Project is known as Premonition and is launched by the American Tech Company, Microsoft. It allows in prevention of diseases like dengue fever or avian flu that are usually caused by spread of mosquitoes. The Microsoft researchers call it “Nature’s Drones”. This system of trapping mosquito makes use of less energy and also relies on some light weighted battery.
The sensor is used to sort mosquitoes from all types of bugs and chemicals and it is used for preference of mosquitoes for study conducted at lab. It can be cheap and lighter at the same time. The team makes use of drone that can find traps for mosquitoes in remote areas in a semi – autonomous way and it is not directed towards ground. Microsoft is also developing ways to make drones more autonomous. They also work with the US Federal Aviation Administration on the regulatory requirements.
Once the mosquitoes are collected, they analyse microbes and viruses that can be a threat for all human beings. The mosquitoes also try to find diseases that can be known as well as unknown. The researchers help in creation of cloud -based database and it also comes with algorithms for proper evaluation of viruses. Pipas helps in identifying mosquitoes as threat and it also helps in prevention of outbreak of any disease.
